Parking & Directions

KCRiverFest offers limited paid parking off the I-35 exit on Front Street at $10 per car, per day or catch the free shuttle right to the front gate. Pick-up and drop-off locations are at Third Street and Grand Avenue, Fifth Street and Grand Avenue, and Seventh Street and Grand Avenue. Watch for the yellow buses, which run continuously during festival hours — except for a pause in service between 9 and 10:45 p.m. on July 4.

In order to comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), KCRiverFest has designated specific ADA accessible parking areas. Very limited ADA accessible parking spaces are located near the park for vehicles displaying a disabled hang-tag or license plate. KCRiverFest has designated a drop-off area at the paved entrance to the park area, at which vehicles displaying a disabled hang-tag or license plate may drop-off disabled passengers and then park the vehicle at the nearest available parking site.

There are two other areas with designated ADA accessible parking located along the bus route to the park:

• The City Market
• The ATA bus stop and pick-up location at 3rd Street & Grand Avenue.

Please remember that strollers, blankets and lawn chairs are welcome, but please, no pets, coolers, alcohol or firearms.

KCRiverFest, its sponsors and Friends of the River—Kansas City are not responsible for loss, damage or theft of vehicles or personal items; these entities are also not responsible for towing or removal of improperly parked or incapacitated vehicles. Please do not leave valuables in your vehicle.

Please Note — Construction Detours

Bridge rehabilitation and resurfacing closed the eastbound I-70 ramp to northbound I-35 on the north side of the downtown loop on March 30 will now continue until July 17, weather permitting.

The detour is simple and is signed. All traffic will be directed through a small circular route to reach I-35. For example:

For East Bound I-70, west of downtown,

• go south on the west side of the loop
• then east on the south side of the loop
• and north on the east side of the loop to connect with I-35.

Drivers coming from the South will be directed in a similar fashion.

Please follow the directions of KC Scout signs. KCRiverFest signs will direct you to the parking areas once you exit the highway.
