Sometimes Three
This indie rock and pop piano-based band has played many local festivals, including the Plaza Art Fair. The popular group has appeared on television shows including "Kansas City Live" and "KC Nightcap." The band’s set will include cuts from their debut album "All Eyes."
The Zeros
Headlining the first night of KCRiverFest is the famed trio of local rock heroes, The Zeros. Known throughout the region as "the ultimate new wave 80’s band," the group plays all the best new wave music. Loaded with an intense energy and the power to bring back a flood of memories, the River is sure to be rocking when The Zeros play.
Bayley Kate
Bayley Kate opens July 4th musical performances. The young singer/songwriter from the Sunflower State has performed in Kansas, Missouri and Oklahoma, most often accompanied by her father, and occasionally joined by friends. She performs an eclectic mix of music, from folk to country, bluegrass and yodeling!
Retro Rangers

Outlaw Junkies
Country music fans will delight in the music of the Outlaw Junkies! Previously known as Steel Horse; the group has played numerous fairs, festivals and concert venues. The Outlaw Junkies excel at blending the old and new, rock and country along with great original music. They have shared the stage with many national acts including Alabama, Rascal Flatts, Tracy Lawrence and Asleep at the Wheel.
The U.S Air Force Band of Mid-America
Comprised of 60 full-time musicians, The U.S Air Force Band of Mid-America has a long history of entertaining the American public and promoting esprit de corps within the military. Each year, the Band of Mid-America performs for millions of people throughout a six-state region from the upper peninsula of Michigan to Oklahoma. The band has had the distinction of performing for Pope John Paul II, the Queen of the Netherlands, President William Clinton, Vice-President Albert Gore, the Secretary of Defense and the Secretary of the Air Force to name but a few.

KC Kite Flying Club Demonstrations & Lessons
Ever seen a kite the size of a truck? KCRiverFest is fortunate to have another appearance by the Kansas City Kite Club. Kite members will show off their most beautiful kites and educate about the art, techniques, science, technology, history, safe practices of kite flying, and kite making in our community.
Kansas City Garden Railroad Society
Check out the one of the fastest growing family hobbies as the Kansas City Garden Railroad Society brings to KCRiverFest their fun, fascinating model trains. Experience the unique sights, smells, sounds, and excitement of the "large scale" world of model trains. Garden train engines are about the size of a large loaf of bread and look just like the real trains—fun for the kids, and the kid in all of us.
Steamboat Arabia Exhibit
Journey back to the 1850s and explore the wreck of the Steamboat Arabia, a unique treasure rediscovered 132 years after it sank and was lost in the muddy waters of the Mighty Missouri. Learn how the wreck was found, and about the painstaking efforts to bring up virtually perfect specimens of the doomed boat’s cargo.
Children’s Ride Zone
Cool rides, inflatables and fun await the kids in the Children’s Ride Zone! Please note that there are plenty of free activities in our Radio Disney Children’s Area, but we also feature cool rides and inflatables for a small additional fee.
Kids may purchase a wrist band for $10--good for a ride session. There will be one session on Thursday night—so kids can ride the rides and play in the inflatables all evening long!
On Friday, there are two sessions – 1-5:30 and 5:30 – 10 p.m. Each session is $10. We also offer two exciting additional items at an additional fee: the bungee jump - $7 per ride; and the Rock Climbing wall is $5.
