The fifth annual KCRiverFest is organized by Friends of the River (FOR-KC). Incorporated in November 2002, FOR-KC is a not-for-profit organization created to promote awareness and public use of the Riverfront throughout the metropolitan area. The organization addresses a wide variety of interests including history and education; conservation; recreation and entertainment.

FOR-KC works to create a more vibrant Riverfront today and a more vibrant region in the future.
